School | Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences |
Department/Area | Bioengineering |
Position Description | Join our dynamic research team at Harvard as a Postdoctoral Researcher and contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of ionic liquids for drug delivery. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to help advance the development of innovative drug delivery systems. Responsibilities: Design and synthesize novel ionic liquid compounds with tailored properties. Characterize the synthesized compounds using state-of-the-art techniques such as NMR, MS, IR, TGA, DSC. Conduct research on formulation and characterization of ionic liquids-based biologics formulations. Design and perform experiments to evaluate the stability, biocompatibility, and release kinetics of the developed formulations. Assess in vivo efficacy of the delivery system. Analyze and interpret experimental data and prepare reports and scientific publications. |
Basic Qualifications | PhD in chemical engineering, bioengineering, material science, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related fields. Strong background in ionic liquids, drug delivery systems, and/or biologics. Expertise in organic synthesis and characterization techniques. |
Additional Qualifications | Experience in formulation development and characterization techniques. Skill in density, viscosity, solubility, and conductivity measurements. Proficiency in analytical methods for assessing drug release and stability. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. |
Special Instructions | A complete application must include an updated CV, a cover letter, and a research statement. Please submit the names and contact information for three references.
